Free for you. Providers pay a flat fee to be listed, and nobody pays us for sending you to them.
Providers in Texas
We're adding Texas providers now
Listings appear here as each provider's license is checked. Meanwhile, the member number on your insurance card can tell you who's in network for you, and SAMHSA's FindTreatment.gov lists licensed treatment programs near you.

Choosing someone
A few questions before the first visit save time and money, and a short phone call first is normal.
Check your coverage
Call the member number on your insurance card and ask whether the provider is in network for outpatient mental health or substance use care, and what you'll pay a visit: your copay, or what's left of your deductible. Some plans hand behavioral health to another company; the card or the plan's website says which.
Ask about fit
Most providers offer a short call before the first visit. Ask how they work, what a first visit is like, how soon they can see you and how often. Feeling comfortable with the person matters as much as their credentials, so it's fine to talk to two or three.
More than a weekly visit?
Intensive outpatient (IOP) and partial hospitalization (PHP) programs give several hours of care a week while you live at home. A counselor or your doctor can help you decide what you need. SAMHSA's free, confidential helpline, 1-800-662-4357, answers every day, all day.
In an emergency, call 911. In a mental health or substance use crisis, call or text 988, the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, any time. This directory isn't for emergencies.
Questions
Does it cost anything to use?
No. Searching, reading listings and booking through them is free. Providers pay Cima a flat monthly fee to be listed. What you pay for care is between you, the provider and your insurance.
How are the results ordered?
Featured listings come first. They're paid placements, they take turns at the top, and they're always labeled. Next come providers you can book online right now, then everyone else. Within each group the order changes every day, so nobody is always first. Your filters decide who shows at all.
Does Cima recommend these providers?
No. Cima checks that each provider has an active Texas license and that their listing has a way to reach them, but we don't rate, review or recommend anyone. The provider writes their own listing. Check with your insurance that they're in network for you before the first visit.
What happens to what I type when I book?
This site doesn't ask for your health information. "Book online" opens the provider's own booking page. For providers on Cima EHR, Cima runs that page for the provider under a HIPAA business associate agreement, and what you enter goes to that provider only. Other booking pages are run by the provider or their software company.
What if I need help right now?
Call 911 in an emergency. In a mental health or substance use crisis, call or text 988, the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, any time of day. SAMHSA's National Helpline, 1-800-662-4357, is free and confidential and can help you find treatment.
I'm a provider in Texas. How do I get listed?
